If you always cast to the bank, most of the time there will be more fish behind you than in front of you. There are as many edges and targets to cast to away from the bank; they just require a little more effort to bump your lure into. The fish living at those spots aren t beaten over the head with lures every weekend like the ones tucked up against the shoreline, and maybe less educated and easier to catch.

There”s nothing like a recently sharpened treble hook sticking out of your thumb to get your attention.Hang lures tied to rods on the underside of the reel against the butt when you”re not using them. When a wave goes under the boat,keep going! Keep the engine revved up, and transfer all passengers and deck weight possible to the bow. try to get the boat level, and turn on the bilge pumps. Get the boat into shallower water out of the wind as soon as possible and continue to circle until the pump ( and some bailing) clears the water from the decks.
